GENERAL QUESTIONS

Is there a delivery fee?
Yes. Delivery fees apply per order and vary based on delivery distance.

How far in advance should I place my order?
We recommend booking as early as possible to ensure availability. Last-minute orders are welcome based on inventory availability.

How much is the deposit?
Most orders require a non-refundable deposit, typically around 30% of the total order amount.

When is final payment due?
Final payment is due prior to or upon delivery unless otherwise arranged.

What payment methods do you accept?
We accept cash, check, debit/ credit - VISA, MasterCard, Discover. 

What if I need to cancel?
Deposits are non-refundable. However, weather or emergency cancellations may be applied as a credit toward a future rental date based on availability.

What areas do you deliver to?
We are located in New Haven County and proudly deliver throughout Connecticut. Delivery fees vary based on location.

Are your inflatables cleaned and sanitized?
Yes. All inflatables and rental equipment are cleaned and inspected between each rental.

What happens if equipment is damaged during my rental?
Customers are responsible for equipment from delivery until pickup, including damage, theft, or misuse.

Can I keep rental items overnight?
Some rentals may qualify for overnight or extended rental periods depending on availability.

DELIVERY & SETUP

Does someone need to be present for delivery?
Yes. A responsible adult must be present to receive the equipment, review placement, and sign rental agreement upon delivery.

Do you set up and take down the equipment?
Yes. Our Happy Day Event Co team handles delivery, setup, and pickup for most rental items. (Chair setup/takedown is available for an additional fee.)

Can rental items be moved after setup?
Large rental items including tents, inflatables, games, and concession equipment may not be moved after setup for safety reasons. Unauthorized movement may result in additional fees and damages.

INFLATABLE QUESTIONS

Can inflatables be used in the rain?
Light rain may be acceptable depending on conditions, but inflatables must be vacated during high winds, heavy rain, or lightning for safety.

Can inflatables be set up on pavement?
Yes. Please let us know when ordering so sandbags can be included for safe setup. Sandbags are provided at no additional charge.

How close does the inflatable need to be to an outlet?
Inflatables must be within 100 feet of a standard 15 or 20 amp outlet. If power is not available nearby, generators are available for rent at an additional charge.

Do you require adult supervision for inflatables?
Yes. Adult supervision is required at all times while inflatables are in use.

What surfaces can inflatables be set up on?
Inflatables can typically be set up on grass, pavement, or indoors depending on the item and available space.

Do you offer water slides?
Please view our rentals page for current inflatable and slide availability.

TENT QUESTIONS

What is the difference between a pole tent and a frame tent?
-Pole tents require staking into grass and include center poles. They can adjust slightly to uneven ground but require additional clearance around the tent for staking.
-Frame tents do not have center poles and can be installed on grass or pavement, but require a more level setup surface. Additional clearance may also be needed for staking or water barrels.

How much space is needed for a tent?
Please allow approximately 1.5 feet of additional clearance around the tent area for staking and setup.

Can tents be set up on pavement?
Yes. Certain tents can be installed on pavement using water barrels or weighted systems when staking is not possible.

DUNK TANK QUESTIONS

How long does it take to fill the dunk tank?
The dunk tank holds approximately 500 gallons and typically takes about one hour to fill, depending on water pressure.

POWER & GENERATORS

Do I need to provide power for inflatables?
Yes. A standard electrical outlet is required within 100 feet unless a generator is rented.

Are generators available to rent?
Yes. Generators are available for large events and locations without accessible power. See 'Lighting, Power & Equipment' Rental Tab.
